The “Koberger Markt” – a cozy spot without urban bustle
Perfect for: shopping with good conscience
For all people, who live near the “Kobergerplatz” the weekly market is already familar. For all other people it should become familar.
The weekly market was established between 1993 and 1994 by a residents´ initiative, because they wanted to have a farmer’s market right in front of their homes. They were able to convince the farmers for their idea and thats how the market was born.
Since a small opening, the market is open every friday from 08:00 am until 06:00 pm
Besides flowers and pot plants the market offers all products, that a farmer’s market needs to offer.
Fresh chicken, homemade pasta, fresh meat and sausages and fresh vegetables and herbs from the “Knoblauchsland”.
The quality is very good, which you can taste and see immediately.
Often you can find a honey stand with all delicious products made of honey.
A super hightlight is the icecream cart. They offer the standard kind of icecream, like chocolate, strawberry and vanilla but also very cool type of ice cream like “Rapunzel” and “Veilchen”. “Rapunzel” is a smoothie ice cream with spinach, orange and watermelon. “Veilchen” is a kind of vanilla taste ice cream with some violet leafs and honey.
The variety is big at the “Kobi” (nickname of the market). You can choose your ingredients, have a chat with the farmers, who often give you good advices or one of their secret recipes and you buy ecological responsible with no hustle.
It is definitely worth a visit, Friday after Friday.
